Candidates Seeking Partisan Office or Municipal Office
The Mountain Party requests its affiliated candidates to sign the party’s candidate pledge. Its purpose is to provide necessary accountability, assuring that officially recognized candidates share the party’s values. Signing the pledge is required for recognition. Should a candidate violate the pledge, they will be disavowed by the State Executive Committee (SEC).
This pledge was unanimously agreed upon by the State Executive Committee in November of 2019 and updated with unanimous support in September of 2023.
Declared candidates are expected to review the pledge. Additionally, potential candidates and the public are encouraged to review the document.
Completed and signed pledges must be accompanied with appropriate contact information, to verify the signatory.
